Not realizing what she's avoiding, he steps right back up. He wants to inspect her arm--though he'd hardly know what's going on there--as well as her face for any signs of pain. For a moment he nearly forgets the kids in favor of what's in front of him; only the fact that she reminds him that she was leading somewhere keeps him from suggesting they immediately get her help.

"Does it hurt? Do we need to wrap it up, so it doesn't..?" Well, he's not sure what her arm would do. Probably not bleed, but maybe it would or there's something similar. Either way, he wants to do something for his hurting friend.
