By sheer element of surprise, it works. Signless's mind is gunked up enough with brainwashing and fear and now the exhaustion of a battle that his body isn't really equipped to have that it doesn't register the lanky form flying at it until it's too late. He stumbles with an audible oof and a wheezy hiss, more disoriented than ever, and goes down without too much fuss.
