Firo's head whipped around towards the sound. He looked back to her and nodded--yep, that was real. That, or they were both going bonkers.

He straightened and moved back toward the doorway, pausing long enough to look over his shoulder at her again, "You stay here--I'll go see what it is."

She was already injured; he couldn't just let danger come to her, right?
