Hmmm...curious. The man couldn't be with whoever this girl was, otherwise he would have attacked Ermac by now, and he certainly wouldn't be keeping quiet. There was more to this situation, then, and the stranger clearly knew something about it. So why rescue a Tribute he didn't know? Unless this was part of some elaborate trap...but this didn't feel like one. If he was allied with the crying girl, then why lead people away from her? Why not attack with her and improve their chances of a kill? No, this wasn't a trap.

Ermac follows Ellis' lead, and strides silently toward him and away from the sobbing. He keeps his distance, however, just in case Ellis decides to attack. He wasn't going to be caught by surprise again.
