"I stole and raided, sir...I don't hurt unless they hurt me first, let sleepin' dogs lie an' all tha' shit," Ellis was honest about these sorts of things. Infected could be killed a dime a dozen, but fellow Survivors? There was something to be said about this young man's sense of right and wrong when he'd rather share in the bounty with a complete stranger than shoot their head off. There had to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and the more survivors remained, the closer they could all get to rebuilding their home.

That said, his body language spoke more about remorse for having stolen from stores and little caches that were probably there for someone else. Nick told him to buck up, Coach assured him that more would come along and Rochelle added to that. It didn't take away from the sting but it was better than to starve and die. They needed their youngest to remain their unifying glue, or the wind would be knocked out of them. In Ellis' eyes, tomorrow would be another day, another chance to get to the promised land.
