Megan was surprised when she happened upon Jason Todd after a few weeks of not crossing his path at all. Truth be told, she'd assumed he'd already died, since they'd somehow avoided one another this long. But it was a pleasant surprise to see him, nonetheless. Even though he looked like he'd been through absolute hell.
"Hey," she said as she approached him, kneeling down to where he was sitting. "You look awful. What's the matter?" She half considered making some joke about him having battled a balloon, but that seemed a little mean spirited, even considering the times. Instead, she placed a friendly, gentle hand on his shoulder to show her concern.
