Nick opens his mouth to protest when Clementine declines, but stops when he hears Luke give his answer backed up by some form of logic that Nick wish hadn't existed. If it weren't for the fact that the pipe's rather heavy, he'd have given it to Clementine already. There are many things he wants to say and he gives Luke a challenging glare (what makes him think it'll take only a minute? Anything can happen in a minute!). Despite the lack of time, he inclines forward to assert that he'll be fine without a weapon, but stops when he hears thumping noises...from the vents?

"...you guys hear that?" His eyes trail to the open vent from earlier.

He'd think it'd be another tribute but those noises definitely are not human.

"We need to get the fuck out of here!"
