Go on and baby get the lighter
Who| Molotov and you + prompt for Ellie/Mindy
What| Shit's on fire and the ice rink's melted
Where| The ice rink
When| When the power is out
Warnings/Notes| Murder, fire, filthy water
Molotov had been headed for the lockers when everything went dark. She's only steps away, but now there's no way to see which locker is which anyway, and, well, the speech she heard as she'd made her way to this point had been pretty clear.
Burning everything sounded like a damn fine idea.
Even the dark, Molotov knows what's in her kit bag, knows it all by feel alone. She has a fire starting kit she'd lifted off Robot while she was treating his wounds. It's easily fished out of her duffel bag, lined up against the old, cheap rubber mats that line the outside of the rink, ignited.
The smell of burning tires fills the air as the mats go up in flames, smolder and send up sparks that catch the cheesy banners and wooden bleachers. The plexiglass around the ice begins to melt and warp, and in the brightness sent off by the flames is Molotov, smiling as she raids open lockers.
It isn't long before the ice cracks and starts to separate, leaving water instead. On the ground, the temperatures are sweltering, but Molotov hardly seems to notice.

ELLIE AND MINDY
Re: ELLIE AND MINDY
Mindy, of course, left out she no longer HAD a group. Chibi Usa and Hotaru were gone, Clementine had fallen to her death, and going by the dummies set up, Mindy also knew that Dave had taken one too. Ellie was pretty much the only one she knew that was still around.
Not that she was going to think about that now.
"Now, the million dollar question Ellie: can you actually skate?"

Ellie was doing better than Mindy, but not by much - gaunt, tired, battered and bruised, she was living day to day just to get through them, half hoping something would happen so that she could just go back to where her friends were all alive and happy. (Not that she would tell Joel that. And not that the place existed. Last time she woke up, half her friends had disappeared without her, and she was terrified to see what she would wake up to next.)
She gingerly reached out to touch the ice, wondering if something was going to blow up on it like the last time she'd been on it.

Ellie had been lucky: she'd been traveling with Joel and Tess (she now learned she was a part of their group) so she didn't look anywhere as bad as Mindy had been. About Clem she still looked slightly haunted, so hopefully Ellie wouldn't bring her up anytime soon. Chibi Usa and Hotaru she didn't know about, but obviously their deaths were pretty heavy on her conscience too.
"What's holding you up?" She skated towards the girl, giving her her hand.
