Sigma doesn't appear to be listening carefully. He only notices Homura when she speaks; once he turns to her, he smiles at once. She wasn't calling him 'Dr. Klim' any longer. He decided that was an improvement. "Homura. I was worried you were caught in the explosion - I am thankful to find you alive." His expressions are somewhat animated, overcompensating for the situation, and it is quite clear that Sigma is not entirely well.

His gentleness is, however, genuine when he lifts a hand to gesture her over: "You brought kindling with you, I see. Come. Rest for awhile." Palm outstretched, he waits for her to take his hand.
