"Russians are stereotyped for a good reason," is her answer, all laughter. "I'm sure I fit every one you could think of -- oh, but gymnastics, not ballet or ice skating. Everything else, probably true." She sighs. Americans are like pets, really. God knows she'd had a dog to tame in her star spangled ex-boyfriend. "Americans try. And they are gullible. Trusting. Easy to kill."

She refrains from criticizing his parenting, although her thought is that beating adoration into children usually works, in her experience with being a child. "Probably your wife was soft on her.
