The rabbit ate one of the berries immediately, then paused, and looked up, twitching its nose. It's gaze darted around a moment but with no obvious threats, it dropped its head again and continued to eat.

Ken nodded slightly to Lily. He wasn't sure how good her aim was but a throwing knife would be a lot more subtle than a sudden lunge with a machete. And if she happened to miss, Ken was more than ready to literally cut the little furball off and prevent him from making an escape.
