Clara doesn't say anything about how deep in denial she was. She also doesn't slap him, considering he's helping her when, really, he doesn't have to. Honestly, he could end this Arena for her right now and she wouldn't be able to blame him if he did. Hell, he'd probably be able to rest easier knowing that she wasn't wandering around here with one eye and the possibility of being horribly slaughtered by anyone who so chose to.
