She didn't know anyone who died on the platforms that well. Bunnymund was from her district, so she had seen him around, but never interacted with him much. Karkat...well, Karkat had jumped out of a tree and they effectively killed each other, even if Sabriel had come along and delivered the final blow so Clara didn't suffer for too long. But hearing that Dave did lose someone only makes her hug him tighter.
