She hadn't grown up in the streets of Neverwinter and not learned that attacking wounds hurt, and got you an advantage.
Of course, up-close and personal fighting wasn't what she was best at without having somebody to take the worst of the damage... she was fast and lethal, but she also tended to fold quickly. So she wanted to make this quick, as much as she could.
