The thing about the Vantas troll line was that, sure, they were short. Their horns weren't very impressive. They weren't terribly graceful and they didn't have the raw power other larger trolls might. But they were solid and they were determined, the Signless no less so. He didn't loosen his bite, not as they were falling and not as Lee tried to push him away. He had to weigh his options first.
He could go for his crowbar and risk Lee getting back up, effectively giving away the upper hand he'd just won on the assumption he'd still be weakened enough to not put up much of a fight either way. He could keep him down and keep biting, which might take longer and be messier to deal with but was a more assured victory. And, well... he was still a troll. He could still fall into that blood-crazed state all trolls were prone to. There was something that felt horrendously right about a struggling body beneath him and the tangy taste of blood that wasn't his in his mouth.
So he kept biting, purposefully tearing now. At least the sharp teeth Cinna had insisted on giving him would finally get some use beyond being an inconvenience.
