Who| rock lee & you!
What| ninja or not, this is hard.
Where| anywhere around the arena!
When| now!
Warnings/Notes| n/a
Every day he grows a little stronger. But for Rock Lee, that isn't enough.
He was in an arena that was challenging him. He was in a world surrounded by people who he hardly even knew, and monsters to beat the band. This was nothing like the Fourth War he was supposed to be in. This wasn't anything that the Chunin Exams tested him for. He wanted to think that anyone would be okay in a place like this, but...maybe it was harder for him. Could Naruto use his ninjutsu here? Lee didn't have any of that.
Lee uncovered himself from the ground, wincing as a stab of pain shot through his knees. That was something he should have caught; he was a ninja. He was supposed to know when someone was behind him, or putting him through danger. The only thing that could have been an excuse was the fog...and that was hardly legitimate at all.
If Gai-sensai was here, he would be so disappointed. And that realization hurt him.
He put one foot in front of him, and then the other. They felt a lot better than they had the first day he had been stuck here. After the team attack at the Cornucopia, Lee could hardly even walk. He bent down to grab his weapon; a piece of wood that he had tried to shave into the sharpest point he could manage. It wasn't much compared to what others had, but it would do.
Lee was about to move...until he heard footsteps nearby.
He crouched down, holding the spear tightly in his hand. His lesson had been learned; do not hold back here. If you aren't going to hurt someone, they are going to hurt you.
So he sat there, and waited...
