She yelps like a kicked dog and rolls across the ground coming to a stop at the front steps of one of the ruined buildings. There had been a solid crack, probably one or more of her ribs breaking.

Her arms shook as she forced herself up. Scrapes on her face from the pavement marred her face...

...but she was still smiling.
