"Ugh, gross." Clementine pulls a face, but she see's Ellie's point. "It's like the driver just vanished." Then, "Wish we still had an army, there's no one left that organised though so everything's falling apart."

She's somewhat aware that Ellie and Joel's world is similar to her own, that something went very wrong and things aren't like they once were.

In the pocket in the back of the seat she finds what looks like the manufacturer's guide to the car, not very useful -- except the paper is dry and could be used for kindling if they can risk making a fire somewhere so she puts it on the seat and starts reaching under the chairs themselves.
