[Starkiller is, unfortunately, completely oblivious to the presence behind him. He's still trying desperately to get the obnoxious slipper off of his foot and it's not working all that well. Sweat is beading on his forehead and he's in obvious pain as he tugs at it. He's fueled by adrenaline and anger, though and it's making him do the stupid thing and continuing.
The fact that they're apparently grafted to his skin is becoming obvious, as blood begins to soak the fabric from the inside out and drip out of them. Eventually the pain becomes too much and he has to take a break, his breathing ragged and mixing in with the sound of the slippers.]
Of all the things, why did it have to be this?
[His voice cracks lightly, either from pain or desperation or both. He could handle anything but these slippers. Maybe if Darth Vader's betrayal weren't so fresh in his mind, it would be easier. But that pretty much means they were bound to drive him insane eventually.
