Her arms released in surprised and she stumbled backward, staring at Joel like she was seeing a ghost. In a way, she was. It wasn't until Hawkeye started talking that she was dragged back into the moment and it slammed into her like a freight train.

Somewhere between relieved, elated, and extremely, extremely angry. As if all the grief of being without him hit her all at once, in that moment.
Suddenly she launched forward again, her fist driving hard into his gut before she threw her arms around his neck and squeezed, hard, burying her face in his shoulder.
