She loves that, that she can make someone react in that way. Too often has it been Eponine crying out in horror or surprise. But no, not this time.

"Sir, these are not alleyways at all, but do you not know that you do not shout out in the dark?" She holds her glass shard up, and the light bounces off it.
"In Paris, your throat should be slit already and you would be dead." She smooths down Lottie's dress. "It is a good thing that I am not so bad as Montparnasse."
