"Because..." He starts, at first sure of what he might say, but as the words begin falling out of his mouth, he becomes much less secure. "You stole my family's home."

As soon as he says it, he knows it isn't fair. Smaug did not encompass all dragons ever born, much like Thror or Thrain or even Thorin represented all dwarves. Even then, Erebor is not home to Kili; Ered Luin is, no matter how temporary a shelter it was meant to be for them. It's only now that he realizes that when he thinks of home and his brother's presence, he imagines them in front of the familiar hearth in the heart of the Blue Mountains.
