WHO| Alpha and open!
WHAT| Alpha's bored and wants to go home and kill people there.
WHEN| About a week or so into the Games
WHERE| The largest island
WARNINGS/NOTES| Aside from the fact that it's Alpha, a sadistic mult-faceted killer, none.

The Arena full of horrible monsters and people trying to kill each other wasn't nearly as fun as Alpha had been led to believe. He'd hardly seen anyone else, for starters, which meant they were either for the most part much better at hiding than he'd expected, or he was simply too good at hiding. Probably the second one.

Regardless, the other Tributes needed to die so Alpha could win and get the hell out of here, so finally he'd just walked out into the open and waited for something to happen. Not his usual style, but really, he was city people at heart (aside from one very happy scuba enthusiast and a smug survivalist who were both rather pleased with the place) and he was frankly getting bored.

And it certainly drew out a lovely dark-haired girl who was pathetically easy to take down. It had been very cathartic, killing her, he mused, ambling away as the cannon rang out, in the vague direction of the beach. He would need to keep an eye out for brunettes, he decided, and this was annoyingly as much of a long-term plan as he had at the moment.

ooc: Alphas killed Neha Manzione of 12, for mod reference! I don't know if there's another place to note this.

After she'd made it to the island, her first basic thoughts were to find food and water. Sustain herself while she looked for Eliot. She'd seen Kaidan's face in the sky that first night, and she couldn't say she wasn't disappointed that they wouldn't be able to hold up their alliance.

But who was to say she couldn't just do it alone? She'd already taken out one Tribute at the Cornucopia ruthlessly enough, even if she hadn't been able to off Tate while she had the opportunity. Too much had been left to chance, at that point.

She'd seen the other Tribute from afar, when she'd found her daily sustenance, and made certain her spear was sharp enough to kill without much fuss. Somewhere down the line she'd found a handful of hefty rocks, some pointed, some blunt, all capable of causing harm. Now she hid behind a tree, weighing one rock in her hand and trying to decide if she could aim well enough to take him out from there.

[ooc: up for a little skirmish? Also, Ariadne was going to take out Meela in her Cornucopia thread. But that might be me being nitpicky.]

She gave it a shot.

One rock flew from the treeline, flying fairly true with the intention of catching him in the stomach. It was hefty enough that it could potentially wind him, slow him down a little bit while Ariadne darted to her next spot hidden just inside the trees. Better than letting him go without a fight, like she'd done with Tate; she didn't know this Tribute, didn't know his capabilities, and the best way to find out was to see how he reacted to all this.

[ooc: no worries at all!]

She narrowed her eyes a little when he managed to catch it. It was one of the disadvantages of not having seen this Tribute before; she had no idea what to expect from him, and this wasn't it. At the very least, she had caught him off-guard enough to make him stumble, but it wouldn't be enough. She tested the weight of her spear in her hand, debating it briefly before deciding against it.

Though not quite trusting that she could outrun him - not if he had the ability to catch a rock, and just pitch it aside that way - she wasn't going to just run.

Ariadne scooped up another rock, carefully slipping through the trees away from where he approached, and pitched it a bit harder at the side of his head.

"You haven't been here long, have you?" She asked, before slipping back through the trees, relatively silent on her feet. That was a skill she'd had beforehand; she had once evaded Cobb almost entirely before he finally caught on too late where she was.

If nothing else, she'd be able to hide on him. Hiding had kept her alive so far.

[ooc: No worries. c: She's still just a regular old human, though her aim's pretty good. I'm not familiar with his canon sadly, but I figure he's decent enough for this to work.]

She waited to reply, pausing to hoist herself up onto a bough of the nearest tree, getting herself off the ground lest he come past the line of trees to find her. The next bough was just a bit higher, and with her potential weapons and backpack, she was more than prepared for him.

"I change my strategy periodically."

"Being rude wasn't really something I was thinking about, considering our situation," she replied, hefting her spear in one hand, remembering its weight and the force with which she'd need to throw it on the off-chance he decided to attack her. Of course, for that, she needed to keep him talking. "What's kept you alive up till now?"
