The Summoner is starving as well. His apples didn't last long, as he'd tried using them for bait. So now he shouldn't be hard to spot as he's been digging in the soft dirt and around trees with his claws looking for insects to eat. Desperation has over taken subtlety and he has left a long swatch of debarked trees and dug holes in his quest to find enough to sustain himself.

Which may be a losing battle, he's already thinned and shirtless, having used the last tatters of what he was wearing to try and bandage the stumps where he once had wings. He's too busy with his digging to hear anyone approach.
