Who| Charles & Jet.
What| Charles gets killed.
Where| Around and about.
When| End of Week 3.
Warnings/Notes| Death? ;)

Charles was not equipped for the arenas, really. While he did have some supplies, and managed to keep a bit warm, he knew that he would only last so long without finding somewhere warm, building a fire, and hiding. He kept his supplies that he had remaining on himself. Not much, of course, but there never was much of anything in any of the arenas. He moved through the woods, keeping his eyes forward, and alert, in case of running into anyone. He didn't want to start any fights, and the best way to do this was to make sure that he didn't alert anyone to his presence. It's hard to keep quiet, though, when there's so many things around that he can step on that make noise.

His feet crack a few branches, and he jumps backwards, moving away from the sound immediately. That sound is never good. He looks around, as if waiting for someone, then got to moving again. He was going to end up lost, and he knew it. It wasn't as though he was particularly skilled in the ways of surviving a frozen forest.

After several minutes of continuing through the trees, he decided to stop. It seemed oddly quiet here. He was careful not to make much noise as he started to go through his supplies to find something to build a fire. It would make him a target for anyone, for sure, but it was either run away from a person, or deal with what would come from being out in the cold.

It was the snapping of branches that caught Jet's attention. As soon as he heard it, he pulled his parka hood up over his head, well aware his bright blond hair was practically a beacon in the arenas at times. He did his best not to move and kept silent as he crouched behind some bushes. Thirty seconds of patience longer than whoever the other person was granted him a chance to spot the person nearby he hadn't noticed before.

Jet didn't think he knew him, someone from one of the higher-up districts was his guess, but that just made it easier. He could leave or wait for the guy to walk on by...but he hadn't seen Jet and he didn't look particularly armed either...he could kill him. He could practically see Albert's disapproving expression, but that talk he'd had with Venus hadn't left his head either; the more people he got rid of, the better chance the people he cared about had.

Jet waited for him to pass, but after some distance had been established between them, Jet began to follow, using all of his military and cyborg training to work to keep from causing any more noise than the environment caused on it's own. He'd wait for a better chance to take the guy out, maybe when he stopped or something. As it happened, he didn't have to wait long, the guy came to a stop and settled down to start looking through his supplies. Jet paused as well, a second wave of hesitation hitting him, but he shook it easier than the first and did his best to make his way up to the closest tree to the guy's back without alerting his target that he was there.
